The Holiday Spirit and the Code

This is the time of year when everyone seems kinder, more patient, more generous and more concerned with others than the rest of the year. Hanukkah and Christmas occur in this time, but the spirit of the season seems to be one that is caught by all people, of faith or no faith. It is a reminder that we can all be better, and do better. The question, of course, is why can’t we live like this all the time? What do you think are the hallmarks of this holiday spirit? Why don’t we live out this spirit all the time? The Code calls on us to respect others, to be generous, to put the team ahead of ourselves, to do our best – all traits of this season. Can you pick one of these elements, and try to let it become more a part of who you are? Which one will it be?
