Leno, Fallon and The Code

NBC has announced that Jay Leno will retire and be replaced by Jimmy Fallon in 2014.  First, it is understood that Leno is 62 and that NBC has decided that it needs a younger host to attract younger viewers; Fallon is 45.  On every team there are older and younger players.  Part of the responsibility of the older players is to help the younger ones develop.  Part of the reality of being an older player is the possibility of being replaced by a younger, more skilled player.  It can be difficult for a starting player to lose a position to a younger player.  What does the Code say about this?  The Code says, “I will be a positive influence on the other relationships on the team.”  Are you an older or a younger player?  What is your responsibility to your teammates?
